Sustainability at LCF Flooring

At LCF Flooring, we’re committed to eco-friendly choices. From low-VOC and recycled materials to locally sourced products, we help Edmonton homeowners and businesses create beautiful spaces with a smaller environmental impact.

Sustainable flooring is not one product. It is a set of choices: what the floor is made of, what holds it down and finishes it, where it comes from, and how the job is run. This page explains the choices we make, and the ones we help you make when you visit our Edmonton showroom.

Leading the Way in Low-Impact Flooring

At LCF Flooring, sustainability is built into every layer of how we work. From the showroom to your installation site, we make conscious choices to reduce waste, energy use, and harmful emissions.

We proudly offer:

Flooring made with recycled materials

We offer flooring options that use post-consumer and post-industrial recycled content — better for your space and the planet.

Recycled content gives material that has already been made a second life. Ask us which products in the showroom include it, and we’ll show you what is available in the look you want.

Low-VOC Adhesives & Finishes

Our products include low-VOC materials to reduce off-gassing and improve indoor air quality for healthier living.

Off-gassing is the slow release of chemicals into the air after a floor is installed. In a home that stays closed up for much of an Edmonton winter, choosing low-VOC adhesives and finishes is a simple way to keep the air inside healthier.

Paperless Billing & Digital Coordination

From estimates to invoicing, we use digital tools to reduce paper waste and streamline your experience.

Your estimate and invoice arrive digitally, so the details of your project stay in one place instead of on paper.

Smart Energy Use

We actively manage energy consumption across our operations, minimizing waste while maximizing efficiency.

Flooring That Supports Local & Cuts Emissions

By prioritizing Canadian-made products, we reduce long-distance shipping and support local jobs — while shrinking our carbon footprint.

Choosing products made closer to home means fewer kilometres between the factory and your floor. It also keeps more of what you spend in the Canadian economy.

Why it matters:

• Fewer transport emissions

• Support for local economy

• Higher material quality and regulation compliance
