Aladdin Commercial in Edmonton

A commercial job often needs more than one kind of floor: carpet tile in the offices, a hard surface in the break room and a walk-off tile at the door. Aladdin Commercial makes all three under one name, which makes it easier to coordinate colours and transitions across a building. It also offers a QuickShip program for carpet, and says orders up to 2,000 square yards ship within 10 business days.

Aladdin Commercial's soft surface range includes broadloom, carpet tile, walk off tile and QuickShip carpet. Its named collections include Ashford Mill, Big Pop of Color, Bentwood, Within the Details, Huescapes and Circular Nature. Carpet tile is a common choice for offices because a damaged tile can be replaced on its own.

On the hard surface side, Aladdin Commercial lists luxury vinyl tile in rigid, flexible and Ultimate Flex versions, resilient sheet, and RevWood laminated wood. Hard surfaces suit break rooms, corridors, clinics and other areas that are mopped often.

Aladdin Commercial makes wall base to finish the edge where the floor meets the wall. It also publishes technical resources on backing, care and maintenance, cushions, fibre, installation and adhesives.

For a gym, the floor has to handle sweat, dropped weights in some areas and a lot of foot traffic. A walk-off tile at the entrance and a hard surface or rubber floor in the workout area is a common layout. Our gym flooring page explains how we plan those spaces, and our commercial flooring page covers how we schedule commercial work.

Edmonton entries take snow, salt and slush for months each winter. A proper walk-off zone at the door keeps grit off the main floor, protects carpet and hard surfaces further in, and cuts down on cleaning.

Aladdin Commercial promotes Mohawk's patented Continuum technology, a process that turns recycled plastic bottles into carpet fibre. Mohawk says each square yard of carpet made this way repurposes 63 bottles. For warranty details, see the manufacturer's warranty.

The right floor depends on the traffic, rolling loads, cleaning routine and how quickly the space has to reopen. We check the subfloor first and plan the base, transitions and entry matting with the floor. Bring a floor plan, photos and your timeline, and tell us whether the space has to stay open during the work.
