Custom Countertops in Edmonton

Custom countertops Edmonton families use every day take more abuse than almost anything else in the house: hot pans, knives, spills, and kids doing homework. A countertop should look good and hold up.

Room-by-room fit

  • A family kitchen with a large island topped in white quartz, with stools and a fruit bowl.

    Busy family kitchens

Quartz, for its non-porous, low-maintenance surface.

  • A kitchen with speckled natural granite countertops in brown, black and cream over wood cabinets.

    Kitchens that want one-of-a-kind character

    Granite.

  • A bathroom vanity with a white veined marble countertop, an undermount sink and a round mirror.

    Bathroom vanities

Quartz or marble; marble shines where traffic is lighter.

  • A living room accent wall clad in white veined quartz slab behind a floating media console.

    Feature walls and accents

    Quartz or marble.

Countertop materials

  • Quartz

Engineered from crushed stone and resin. It's non-porous, so it resists stains, scratches and cracks, and it needs no sealing. It comes in a wide range of colours and patterns, including marble and granite looks, and is usually more affordable than natural stone. Ideal for kitchens, vanities and feature walls.

  • Granite

Natural stone with striking variation and real strength. Every slab is one of a kind.

  • Marble

Elegant and timeless. It's best for vanities, lower-traffic kitchens and decorative accents.

  • Other natural stone

Ask about other stone surfaces if you want something unusual.

Caring for your countertop

Quartz is the easy one: it's non-porous and needs no sealing, so warm water and a mild cleaner are usually all it needs. Granite and marble are natural stone, which is more porous, so they need sealing to resist stains. Wipe up spills like wine, coffee and oil promptly on stone, use cutting boards rather than cutting on the surface, and set hot pans on a trivet.

Why see slabs in person

Photos rarely show the movement in a granite slab or the exact tone of a quartz colour under your own lighting. Seeing samples in our showroom, next to cabinet finishes and flooring, is the simplest way to make sure everything works together before anything is cut.

One team for the whole kitchen

Countertops sit on cabinets and next to the floor, so it pays to plan all three together. We supply custom cabinets, countertops and flooring, which means one contact and one schedule. For the backsplash, we carry ceramic and porcelain tile from suppliers such as Julian Tile; see our Julian Tile page for a preview, or our tile and stone page.

Countertop FAQs

Quartz or granite?

Quartz is non-porous and low-maintenance with consistent colour. Granite is natural, with unique variation in every slab. Both are durable kitchen choices.

Is marble OK in a kitchen?

It works best in lower-traffic kitchens, vanities and accents. Marble is softer and more porous than quartz, so it shows wear and etching sooner.

Are your countertops made locally?

Yes. Our countertops are locally manufactured and professionally installed.

Can you do the backsplash too?

Yes. We carry tile and quartz backsplash options, and we do all slab work: walls, fireplaces and more.
