Why PureGrain High Def Edmonton homeowners ask about
The usual reason is realism. People want a wood floor on the main level but don't want to worry about water, dogs or winter boots. A high-definition vinyl that's scanned from real wood gets closer to the look than many people expect, and the best way to judge is with a sample in your hand next to a real hardwood board.
Edmonton's dry winters are another reason. Solid hardwood moves with humidity through the heating season, while vinyl is a more forgiving choice for many homes.
Where it fits in the house
Wood-look vinyl is the floor we recommend most often for rooms that see water and traffic: kitchens, entries, basements, bathrooms and laundry rooms. In a basement we check the concrete first, because waterproof flooring doesn't fix a slab with a moisture problem. Our luxury vinyl plank flooring page explains how LVP compares with other materials.
Finishing the job properly
Transitions, trims and stair nosings are what make a vinyl floor look finished. We'll plan them with you so the floor flows from room to room, and our in-house crews install every job.

Questions to bring to the showroom
A few questions make a visit faster and the choice easier. Which rooms are you doing, and do any of them see water, such as a kitchen, bathroom, laundry room or basement? Do you have pets or young kids? Is the subfloor wood or a concrete slab, and does any part of it squeak or dip? Are stairs part of the job? Bring rough room sizes or a floor plan if you have one, and a photo of the room in daylight. With those answers we can usually narrow a wall of samples down to three or four that genuinely fit.
