Tempo is the commercial workhorse of the group, with a 20 mil wear layer on a four-metre roll.

TempoSafe has the thickest wear layer in the range at 28 mil, and Kennedy names its surface HyperGrip. It comes on a narrower two-metre roll. If grip underfoot matters in your space, ask us to show you this one alongside Tempo, and we'll walk you through the manufacturer's documentation for your application.

Texmark and Ultimate are the IVC Living collections. Both are 2.8 mm thick on a four-metre roll, with Texmark carrying the slightly heavier wear layer.

Kennedy lists a warranty for each collection, and they differ between the commercial and residential families. Ask us for the manufacturer's warranty document for the product you choose.

Three of these four collections come 13 feet 2 inches wide. In many Edmonton bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms and small offices, that's wide enough to cover the room in one piece, or with a single seam we can plan to sit somewhere out of the way. Fewer seams generally means an easier floor to clean and less risk around water. We'll measure and plan the layout before we quote so you know where any seam will land.

Rental units and multi-family. Sheet vinyl is a common choice where a floor needs to be practical and simple to maintain between tenants.

Home bathrooms and laundry rooms. The IVC Living collections are aimed at residential rooms. As general advice, we recommend dealing with any subfloor damage or moisture before new sheet vinyl goes down, and we'll check that first.

Basements. Edmonton basement slabs vary a lot. Sheet vinyl can be a good fit once the concrete has been checked and prepared, which we always do before an install.

Sheet vinyl is thin, so whatever is under it shows. Good preparation is most of the job, and it's the part we never rush.
