Good to know about Estates Luxury Vinyl

Why we recommend Estates luxury vinyl Edmonton homeowners can rely on

Luxury vinyl is a resilient floor built in layers: a protective wear layer, a printed design layer and a stable core. It handles water, cleans easily and resists scratches and stains. Primco notes that, given its waterproof nature, vinyl plank is a strong option for bathrooms.

Here, that matters. Our winters are dry, our basements run cool, and boots bring in slush half the year. Vinyl doesn't shrink or crack the way solid wood can, which is why it's so popular in basements and entries.

The Estates collections we carry

Groundwork & Bedrock.

A full-spread glue-down floor with a clean square edge for a modern look. It's made from 100% virgin PVC, phthalate-free and FloorScore certified. Choose plank, with a 20 mil UV-cured urethane wear layer, or tile, with a 12 mil one. Glue-down is our pick for larger rooms and spaces that see heavy rolling loads.

Stability.

Stability is a click floor with a multilayer SPC (stone polymer composite) core and an attached 1 mm IXPE pad that softens footfall and absorbs sound. Planks are 7 by 48 inches with a 2G angle/angle install system that Primco says copes even with uneven floors. There are 16 plank designs with an embossed texture, under a 20 mil UV-cured wear layer that guards against scratches and scuffs.

Simple Choice 2.0.

A flexible option that can be loose laid or installed with perimeter or full-spread adhesive. It has a four-sided micro bevel and random embossed texture, and Primco describes it as allergy-friendly and FloorScore certified. It resists scratches, discolouration, fading and water, and never needs wax or polish. The build is a fiberglass sheet with a recycled core and a 20 mil ceramic bead wear layer.

Primco also lists Nature and Surefoot in its luxury vinyl range. Ask us what's on the showroom floor today.

Choosing the right construction
  • Click (Stability): floats over the subfloor, quick to install, comfortable with its built-in pad. Great for main floors and basements.

  • Glue-down (Groundwork & Bedrock): fixed in place and very stable, best for big open areas and commercial-style use.

  • Loose lay or adhesive (Simple Choice 2.0): a flexible build that suits a range of rooms.

Whatever you choose, we check the concrete or subfloor first and deal with moisture or levelling before the floor goes down. Primco also offers matching mouldings, from T-mouldings to stair nosings.
