Good to know about Primco
Why we show Primco flooring Edmonton homeowners can trust
A lot of the people who come through our door want one thing: a floor that looks good and survives real life. Kids, pets, snow coming in on boots, a basement that runs cool. Primco's lines are built around those situations, and they come in enough styles and constructions that we can usually match a floor to the room rather than the other way around.
Primco describes its own focus as quality flooring with a Western Canadian root, and says it aims to offer flooring for both the home and the office. We use it mostly for residential work, but some of its constructions suit busier spaces too.
The Primco lines we carry
Estates Laminate. A wood-look laminate range with a click-lock system and scratch resistance aimed at active families. The collections we focus on are Parador, Seville and Sequoia, each with its own core and edge detail. See Estates Laminate.
Estates Luxury Vinyl. Primco's own luxury vinyl collection comes in glue-down, click and loose-lay constructions, and Primco states that all its luxury vinyl products are FloorScore certified. We carry Groundwork & Bedrock, Stability and Simple Choice 2.0, and Primco also lists Nature and Surefoot in the range. See Estates Luxury Vinyl.
EcoDense. A PVC-free rigid floor with a waterproof core and an attached acoustic pad. Primco says it is made in North America from primarily U.S.-sourced materials. See EcoDense.
Carpet. Primco also lists carpet in its residential range. Ask us what we have on the floor, and read about carpet flooring with LCF.
How to choose between them
Here is the short version we give people at the counter:
Want real-wood looks on a main floor, on a budget? Start with Estates Laminate. Primco itself notes laminate is not recommended for high-moisture rooms like bathrooms.
Kitchen, basement, entry or bathroom? Look at Estates Luxury Vinyl or EcoDense, which are designed to handle water far better.
Care about what your floor is made of? EcoDense is the PVC-free option, with a core Primco describes as having no added formaldehyde, softeners or phthalates.
Bedrooms and family rooms? Carpet is still the warmest thing underfoot.
We check your subfloor before we recommend anything, because the best product fails over a bad base.
